Craig Davids
Craig has been a music lover and vinyl collector from an early age and first started DJing at parties in late 80's under the name of Network Express (terrible name) with a couple of friends. During the 90's Craig broadened his musical tastes regularly buying House, Garage, Hip-Hop, Soul and Funk music whilst at the same time spending hours teaching himself how to mix. Since then and through to the present day, Craig has held down various bar and club residencies in Peterborough, London (Crystal Palace) and Leicester where he’s lived.
He hooked up with The Promised Land founder/DJ Mr. Hickford in Leicester a few years back and they established a collective of like-minded, crate digging DJ's of similar musical tastes who have since gone on to have numerous bar and club residencies also playing at a variety of parties and festivals around the Leicester area.
The Promised Land Radio Show is a fortnightly 2-hour show on Saturday’s from 2pm - 4pm taking its listeners on a full and varied genre hopping journey, criss-crossing through the decades including recent releases, mainly on vinyl and moving through the musical genres, rooted around Soul, Funk, Jazz, Hip-Hop, House and Latin rhythms from over the years. There will be live mixes by Craig, and other members of the Promised Land collective.
