Music obsessive, melody geek and not your conventional DJ based in Oxford!
I am open format and love throwing Soul, Funk, Disco, House, Garage, Reggaeton, Bashment, Afrobeat, Hip-Hop, RnB and even DnB into my sets and mixes! I am literally at my decks every spare moment...
Matty’s musical tastes were developed from a household of Soul, Funk, Rock ‘N’ Roll as well as Reggae and Ska music. He discovered 90’s RnB and Hip-Hop in his early teens and the love of those genres has remained a constant in his life.
As a Construction Project Manager by day, he relieves the daily stress of work by discovering new music and incorporating these tracks into his mixes. He expresses his creativity through his fine music selection, by creating mixes and smooth transitions with all of the differing styles of music that he plays.
Having played at a number of key club nights in the Oxford area, as well as many bars, he has now recognised that he prefers the challenge of playing at private functions, i.e. weddings, parties and corporate events to bring a club vibe to the party! He has also previously hosted a weekly show on a local radio station, now brings his party to GDR.
