Tomson Chauke
Tomson is a drummer, vocalist and band leader for Reading based band, Limpopo Groove. The band was formed in 2009 by Tomson, with original songs written in Shona and English which fuses Afro Jazz, with tribal beats and European influences.
He is also, a community champion who drives integration and cohesion, working with people from a variety of backgrounds.
Tomson was born in a sugar cane estate Town of Chiredzi in Zimbabwe. From here, he developed a passion for music, which has remained a constant in his life.
The Culture Mix Show will be a new project and experience for him, where he will use the platform to introduce new artists, play exclusive African Rhythms and world music. The show will also catch up with other community champions in and around Berkshire.
