Tot’s love for music started when she was 8, when she first heard Donna Summer’s, ‘I Feel Love’.  Although her taste was varied, by 18 she was listening to Soul music and was influenced by the Acid Jazz movement.  By 1988, she discovered House music and was soon known on the scene as Funky Foot.

She started DJing in 1994 and was soon playing out in London.  She had several residencies, including ‘A Match Made In Heaven’, at the Camden Palace.  Favouring deep house vibes, she enjoyed several years hosting her own show, ‘In at the Deep End’, on pirate stations Pleasure FM and Point Blank FM.  Around 2000, she hung up her headphones, taking time out to raise her children.

In 2018, after buying her son a controller, she began mixing again, posting the odd mix on SoundCloud.  In January 2020, after inspiration and encouragement from her friend The Brother C, she decided to get back behind the decks.  In February, she played at ‘Soulful Soiree’ at the Penta Hotel in Reading, alongside Elle Cee, Kingpinn and Gold Dust boss man, Deano Jones.

Her love for deep house music is evident, but she enjoys playing soulful flavours too.  ‘The Funky Foot Sessions’ marks Tot’s return to radio after 20 years and will bring a mix of old, new, deep and soulful styles… and those who know her well, knows she loves a bit of broken beat!
